Rosemary Brumbelow, clarinet Rosemary BrumbelowRosemary Brumbelow is a clarinetist and teacher currently residing in Madison, WI.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Bachelor of Music Degree in clarinet from Middle Tennessee State University where she studied with Todd Waldecker.  As an undergraduate she was awarded with the Outstanding Performance in Clarinet and Music History awards from the College of Liberal arts and graduated Summa Cum Laude. In 2010, Rosemary received a Master of Music degree in clarinet from The University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied with Linda Bartley.  Rosemary performed with the Symphony Orchestra and was principal clarinetist in the Chamber Orchestra.  An avid chamber musician, Rosemary performs with the Odyssey Winds, a woodwind quintet based in Madison. Aside from teaching her studio of private students in Madison, Rosemary currently teaches clarinet as adjunct faculty at Luther College in Decorah, IA, and Edgewood College in Madison, WI.  In the summer she teaches clarinet for the University of Wisconsin Summer Music Clinic and plays as a substitute musician in the Capitol City Band.  She has been called to substitute in the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, LaCrosse Symphony Orchestra and the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra. Rosemary is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda honor society in music, Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity for women, and the International Clarinet Association.  In her spare time, Rosemary enjoys long bike rides and photography.

Andrea Kleesattel, cello Andrea KleesattelAndrea Kleesattel began Suzuki cello lessons with Ellen Shertzer at Schiel Elementary School for Arts Enrichment at the age of 6. Continuing her publiceducation at the School for the Creative and Performing Arts, she began privatecello lessons and string quartet coachings with Norman Johns at the age of 14 andat the age of 17 was awarded the Corbett-Mayerson Award at the school. Whileattending the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, she studied with LeeFiser and was a member of the Ippolito String Quartet, a group that organizedand performed a public concert series at the Public Library and premiered severalstring quartets by CCM composers. In 2006-2009 she was cellist of the Niles String Quartet, graduate quartet in residence at the University of Kentucky, whereshe studied cello and string quartet with Benjamin Karp. During this time withthe Niles Quartet, she won the MacCauley Chamber Music Competition andattended the Juilliard String Quartet Seminar and the Banff Centre ChamberMusic Residency. The quartet also performed as soloists with the LexingtonPhilharmonic Orchestra and was featured in a Lexington Chamber Music Society’ s series concert. As the winner of the University of Kentucky Concerto Competition, Ms.Kleesattel performed the Dvorak concerto with the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra. She has appeared in masterclasses with MatthewHaimovitz, Timothy Eddy, Wes Baldwin, Zuill Bailey, Benjamin Zander, LynnHarrell, Andres Diaz, and Ralph Kirshbaum. She is currently working on herdoctoral studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the instruction of Uri Vardi.

Dawn Lawler, flute Dawn LawlerDawn Lawler, a freelance flutist and teacher in the Madison area, serves on the faculty at Ripon College. She was a lecturer in flute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison during the spring of 2010, as well as an Artist in Residence with the Wingra Woodwind Quintet at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2008-2010. She received her Master of Music from Boston University and her Bachelor of Music in flute performance from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Her principal teachers include Marianne Gedigian, Marya Martin, Stephanie Jutt, and Jeani Foster. Ms. Lawler was a semifinalist in the 2006 National Flute Association Young Artist Competition, as well as the second prizewinner of the 2004 James Pappoutsakis Memorial Flute Competition in Boston. Her experience includes playing with the Madison Symphony Orchestra,the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, the Dubuque Symphony, the New England Philharmonic, the Hingham Symphony, the Texas Festival Orchestra, and as the flutist for the Latin American group Sotavento. She has toured throughout the United States, Mexico, Japan, and Europe, including performing at the International Woodwind Quintet Festival in France in 2009. Ms. Lawler is alsoa member of the Cambini Quintet, a woodwind quintet performing 18th and 19th century repertoire on historical instruments.

Jennifer Lien, soprano Jennifer LienSoprano Jennifer Lien has been an active participant in the San Francisco Bay Area opera scene, appearing in roles with companies including Mission City Opera, West Bay Opera, Oakland Opera Theater, West Marin Music Festival, Berkeley Opera, Solo Opera, and San Francisco Lyric Opera. Roles include Pamina, Rosina, Despina, Micaëla, Frasquita, and Susanna. A native of Singapore, Ms. Lien made her operatic debut in the roleof Papagena (The Magic Flute) with Singapore Lyric Opera, where she also appeared as Princess Stephanie in The Student Prince. She received further operatic training as a resident artist with Central Florida Lyric Opera, a young artist with the Seagle Music Colony, an apprentice artist with Bel Canto at Caramoor, and with the OperaWorks Advanced Accelerated Singer program. Ms. Lien has appeared as an oratorio soloist in California, Wisconsin, New Hampshire and Singapore. An active collaborator in chamber music and promoter of contemporary music, Ms. Lien is becoming known for her innovative recital programming. Her recital, Mélodie et poésie, was presented by recital series in California and New Hampshire in 2009, and will be performed at the Esplanade Recital Hall in Singapore in December 2010. Ms. Lien will also premiere two new song cycles by Wisconsin-based composers in the spring of 2011. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Ms. Lien holds Masters degrees from San José State University (Voice)and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Musicology), and is currently a doctoral candidate in Voice at UW-Madison, where she is a student of James Doing.

Tim Patterson, percussion

Tim Patterson is a freelance percussionist currently residing in Madison, WI wherehe serves as a Music Instructor at Madison Area Technical College. He received hisBachelor of Music degree in Performance and Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and studied percussion with Dr. Cheryl Grosso. In 2005, Pattersoncompleted the Master of Fine Arts in Multi-focus Percussion at the California Instituteof the Arts studying western and non-western percussion with John Bergamo, David Johnson, Randy Gloss, Kobla Ladzekpo and Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. He is currentlya dissertator in the Doctor of Musical Arts program at the University of Wisconsin under the study of Anthony Di Sanza. Tim has performed regularly with various ensembles including the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Santa Monica Symphony and182 (dedicated to performing the music of Steve Reich). As an advocate for contemporary music, Tim has had the privilege of working with composers Matthew Burtner, GavinBryars, Arthur Jarvinen, James Tenney, and John Zorn.

Mary Perkinson, violin

A native of Philadelphia, Ms. Perkinson is an active freelance musician and educator in Madison, WI. She enjoys performing with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, theWisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Madison Bach Musicians, andQuartessence String Quartet.  In addition to performing, Ms. Perkinson is a string pedagogy teaching assistant at the University of Wisconsin - Madison where she is pursuing her Doctorate of Muiscal Arts. Ms. Perkinson has taught both in Boston and here in Madison, and for the past three years was a teacher with the non-profit organization Music Makers.  She holds degrees from Boston University and the University of Wisconsin – Madison, as well as a performance diploma from The Boston Conservatory and a K-12 music certification from UW – Madison.  While in Madison, Ms. Perkinson has enjoyed volunteering for the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center and the ACT AIDS ride, and presently enjoys volunteering her time to oversee and administer Sound Health.  Most recently, she was invited to join the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics Health and Healing Committee, and was also named a HEX Scholar.
